I've been working in graphic design since about 1994, and have worked through more different graphics applications and styles than I can remember. Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and brief trysts with Paint Shop Pro and a dozen other freeware apps, it all comes down a love of pushing pixels.

When I was about 7 or 8, I finally began recognizing the voices of a couple of my favorite cartoon characters as being the same person. I was floored to realize that this was a line of work a person could get into.
Since then, I've been on a mission to make my way into that line of work. After moving to California, I got in touch with the right people, and now work as a professional VO artist. For samples, click the button below.
Ever want to hear a group of offensive people try to out-offend one another? Want to? Then have I got the show for you.
Worst Thing Ever is a show I do with a couple of friends and a revolving cast of guest accomplices where we discuss whatever random and horrible things strike our fancy for about an hour.
Insane Hardware Projects
While I enjoy making things in many forms of digital media, sometimes you just have to get your hands into something. In my case, that usually means making some sort of crazy overengineered project.
Many scars and scrawled drawings later, I end up with neat physical objects that mix art, carpentry, circuitry, and insanity into projects that are uniquely me. Click the button below to see some of them.
Since I was a teenager, I found myself coming up with graphics or slogan ideas that made people laugh, and wishing I could put them on a T-Shirt. Now, thanks to the march of technology and print-on-demand services on the internet, I can finally do so, and with a quality I am happy with. What can I say, I'm a T-Shirt snob.

I've never been able to play an instrument, but have always liked humming little made up songs. Enter sample trackers, long about 1993, and software synthesizers, long about 1997, and you have my entry into the world of music.
The technology has come a long way, and sounds better than I ever could have hoped. Click the button below to hear some examples of my work, which is all available for free under a Creative Commons license.
I haven't updated this in a while, but for a long time there I did a lego-based comic strip.
Hopefully soon I will join forces with one of my podcast compatriots who can actually draw, and we will launch a new comic, but for now, you can click the button below to see an archive of my old one.
Back in college, I ran a audio/video production company called Left Brain Films.
Every now and then, since I still have the gear, I do video production work, usually for special clientelle. I'm not saying that to be snooty, I just have a lot on my plate.
I am, however, in the midst of piling a video portfolio together at the old LBF site, which you can see by clicking the button below.
My name is Patrick, and as I hope this site showcases, I make stuff. I live in California and work as a User Experience Designer.
My personal work has been covered on Boing Boing, Make, and more. If you want to see some coverage of my work out there on the interwebs, check out this page.
At the bottom of this page, you can find all my various social networkedy stuff, if you'd like to contact me. I suggest Twitter.
Laser Bay Two
I finally started a workblog showcasing what I'm working on at any given time. It covers all the different types of things I make, as showcased separately on this site, in a stream of consciousness way.
It's kind of the PatrickCentral Labs - every now and then I even show incomplete works in progress. Check it out by clicking the button below.
